Bored
Brenda was so bored in class,
She started to day-dream.
She thought about how great it
Would be to be a queen.
She would have her own castle
Surrounded by a moat.
When friends came for dinner,
They would have to come by boat.
She would have a white horse,
And ride it with her king,
And hire someone else, of course,
To feed and keep it clean.
She would have the greatest chef,
And she would eat delicious food.
Cake for every meal!
No one to tell her what to do.
She would have a chocolate fountain
And a room of trampolines.
She would never do her homework.
After all, she’d be a queen!
Her maids would clean her room
And finish all her chores.
They would fold and put away
Her clothes into her drawers.
She would wear fancy jewelry
And a big, shiny crown,
And when she was in public,
The people across town
Would bow their heads in awe
Of her beauty and her grace,
And she would spend her life
With a smile on her face.
Brenda’s eyes opened.
Her class was almost done!
She couldn’t help but think that
Being bored was pretty fun.
