Favorites

Favorite people, favorite kids,

Favorites everywhere.

If you ask me, I’d say having

Favorites isn’t fair.

Favorite students make straight As.

Favorite players make the line.

Babysitters let their favorites 

Stay up past their bedtimes.

Sure, I make As and stay up late.

Sure, I get play time on the court.

That doesn’t mean that I’m the favorite.

It just means they like me more.
